During the 1st ODI against the West Indies at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, Virat Kohli etched his name in history by becoming the fastest batter to cross 15,000 runs in One-Day Internationals. He is only the second player in cricket history to reach this milestone after Sachin Tendulkar.

Fastest to 15,000 Runs: Kohli reached the landmark in just 303 innings (and 15,950 balls faced), significantly faster than Sachin Tendulkar who took 377 innings.

7,000 Runs in India: Kohli became the first player in ODI history to score over 7,000 runs in a single country (7,006 runs in India), surpassing Tendulkar’s 6,976 runs in India.
