Scindia Lays Foundation for India's 7th Postal Training Centre in Shivpuri

Why in the News?
Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, laid the foundation stone for India's 7th Postal Training Centre at Shivpuri (Kakarwaya) in Madhya Pradesh on September 2, 2026. He also inaugurated the modernized Shivpuri Head Post Office featuring a 'Jan Seva Connect' facility.
Key Features / Major Points:
7th Training Hub: This centre expands the existing network of 6 Postal Training Centres located in Saharanpur, Vadodara, Mysuru, Guwahati, Madurai, and Darbhanga.
Jan Seva Connect: A multi-purpose citizen utility facility named 'Jan Seva Connect' was launched at the upgraded Head Post Office to provide single-window access to speed post, savings accounts, Aadhaar, and PLI services.
