Twenty National Cadet Corps (NCC) girl cadets have successfully completed the rigorous high-altitude long trek ‘Aparajita-ParangLa 2026’ across challenging terrains in Ladakh.
Key Features / Major Points:
250-Km Journey: The cadets covered approximately 250 kilometres over 30 days, navigating through difficult high-altitude terrains including glaciers, snowfields, and river valleys.
Route Traversed: The expedition team successfully completed the trek starting from Kibber in Himachal Pradesh and concluding at Karzok in Ladakh.
Flag-In Ceremony: The expedition was officially flagged in at Karzok, Ladakh, by NCC Director General Lieutenant General Virendra Vats and Ministry of Defence Additional Secretary Dipti Mohil Chawla.
Promoting Youth Adventure: The All India Girls High Altitude Long Trek was organised by the Ministry of Defence to encourage young women to participate in adventure sports and build endurance.
Flag-Off Details: The trek was originally flagged off by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from New Delhi on 18th August, accompanied by a dedicated support team of officers and medical staff.
