TARANG SHAKTI 2026 Multinational Air Exercise to Begin in Jodhpur
Why in the News?
The second edition of the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) multinational air exercise 'TARANG SHAKTI 2026' will be conducted from September 26 to October 12 at Air Force Station Jodhpur and adjoining air bases.
Key Features / Major Points:
Objective: To expose participants to the planning and execution of multinational joint combat operations in realistic contemporary battlespace and derive tactically viable solutions.
Participating Nations: 8 friendly foreign countries—Australia, Bangladesh, France, Germany, Greece, Sri Lanka, UAE, and USA—will participate with air assets.
Observer Countries: 32 nations will attend the exercise as observers.
IAF Leadership Statement: Vice Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit stated that the exercise focuses on mutual learning, interoperability, and preparing for future air warfare challenges.
