The 13th edition of the bilateral maritime exercise 'SLINEX-26' between the Indian Navy and Sri Lanka Navy was conducted in Visakhapatnam from September 17 to 21, 2026.
Key Features / Major Points:
Participating Ships: The Indian Navy deployed the indigenously built anti-submarine warfare corvette INS Kavaratti and fleet tanker INS Jyoti. The Sri Lanka Navy was represented by SLNS Sayurala.
Exercise Phases: Conducted in two phases—the Harbour Phase and the Sea Phase. The harbour phase focused on professional interactions, cross-deck visits, and cultural exchanges, followed by the sea phase for joint operational coordination.
