Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare and Rural Development, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, announced the approval of 11,18,937 pucca houses for poor families in Bihar under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), backed by a financial allocation of ₹13,427 crore.

Housing Sanctions: Over the last two years, a total of 24,30,327 houses have been approved for Bihar involving an aggregate expenditure of ₹29,164 crore.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY): Highlighted the implementation of PMFBY in Bihar to safeguard farmers against crop losses from floods, droughts, and unseasonal rainfall.

Digital Farmer IDs: Praised Bihar's milestone in generating over 53.83 lakh digital Farmer Identity Cards to ensure transparent and direct delivery of scheme benefits.

Economic Empowerment & She-Marts: Emphasized expanding the 'Lakhpati Didi' initiative and setting up 'She-Marts' in every district to provide marketing avenues for women Self-Help Groups (Jeevika Didis).
