- Succession: Air Marshal Dixit will succeed the incumbent Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, who superannuates on October 31, 2026.
- Commission & Flying Record: Born on December 9, 1966, Air Marshal Dixit was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Indian Air Force on December 6, 1986. He possesses over 3,500 hours of flying experience on various aircraft, including Mirage-2000, MiG variants, Jaguar, Kiran, Hawk, IL-78, and LCA Tejas. He is an Experimental Test Pilot and Qualified Flying Instructor.
